The second JUNWEX Premium exhibition will be held in Moscow WTC in November
On November 9 and 10, connoisseurs of “status” jewelry design are welcome at the Moscow International Trade Center (WTC). It is there that the long-term organizers of the largest jewelry exhibition JUNWEX will hold the second exhibition of jewelry in the premium segment JUNWEX Premium. Admission to the exhibition is free.
The first time the JUNWEX Premium exhibition took place a year ago at the same site in the WTC. 23 companies representing top high-end jewelry brands in Russia took part in the exhibition.
JUNWEX Premium-2018 will again bring together well-known manufacturers of premium jewelry. This year, Russian brands Maxim Demidov, Chamoskih, Mikhail Osipov, Gevorkyan, Chekotin, Sarkissian and others will take part in it. The exhibition will feature jewelry worth more than twenty-six million rubles.
During the exhibition, the organizers will sum up the results of the Faberge International Jewelry Competition, in which many of the brands represented in the exhibition participate. The press release of the event reports that the competition is aimed at identifying the most talented jewelers and including their works in the exhibition exposition of the jewelry salon of the Faberge Museum in St. Petersburg. The jury included Russian and foreign experts in the field of jewelry design and fashion, jewelry art, as well as specialists in the field of marketing and sales. Russian and foreign brands are invited to participate in the exhibition and competition in Moscow. Applicants for participation in the competition, according to the organizers, can soon be seen on the exhibition website.
Galina Kovaleva, chairman of the jury of the Moscow stage of the World Fabergé Competition and the competitions of the Jewelry Russia Program, says: “In previous centuries, Russian “jewelry” names sounded very loud, the domestic art of creating precious masterpieces was famous all over the world. Modern Russian jewelers have managed to preserve the best traditions of the past, introducing innovative technologies and modern design.”
According to Anna Carol Marshall, a member of the Council of the Gemological Institute of Great Britain Gem-A and a member of the jury of the International Jewelery Competition. K. Faberge, the collections of Russian jewelers are incredibly beautiful. “I don’t know much about the history of Russia, but I am very familiar with the work of Faberge. In the works of modern Russian jewelers, I saw the passion inherent in this master!” — says Anna Carol Marshall.
President of the World Confederation of Jewelers (CIBJO) and member of the jury of the International Jewelry Competition. C. Faberge Gaetano Cavalieri claims that the JUNWEX Premium exhibition is an event for the Russian jewelry market. “The products of the participants in this project are made using the most modern world technologies and are of the highest degree of quality.” – says Gaetano Cavalieri.
The special guest of the exhibition will be the great-granddaughter of the legendary Carl Faberge, Sarah Faberge. At the closing of the exhibition, on November 10, everyone will be able to listen to a lecture by this member of the famous dynasty of jewelry masters.

Notes about the exhibition JUNWEX 2021 Best jewelry in Russia
I’ll share my impressions about the JUNWEX exhibition, which just ended at VDNKh in Moscow.
JUNWEX is Russia's largest exhibition of jewelry, watches, and products made from natural stones. There are few stands with exclusive designer jewelry.
The exhibition is positioned as a collection of the best jewelry in Russia. I think the statement is true, because... in our jewelry stores you will never see such diversity and “flight” of design ideas. Here you can find jewelry with almost any stone, in any metal, and get acquainted with innovations in the field of design and processing technologies. I don't sell jewelry often, but I think it's important to keep abreast of everything that's going on in the jewelry industry. In addition to broadening your horizons and understanding fashion trends, visiting such exhibitions is very interesting.
I go to such sales exhibitions on the last day. It is on this day that the biggest discounts on exhibited goods are given. Even if for some reason you wanted to buy a product, but were unable to do so, then you can understand its extremely low cost.
I will name the consumer disadvantages of the last day of the exhibition. The first is that the most attractive items have been sold in the previous days, the second is that many participants begin packing up their display cases almost in the morning, depriving themselves of the opportunity to earn extra money and the client to make a purchase.
I literally ran through the exhibition in order to catch more exhibits. Next I publish photos in the order of “running through”.
Silver, prehnite, cubic zirconia.
There were, as always, a great variety of insects in the decorations. A hackneyed but favorite topic for many women. They never go out of fashion.
Silver, gilding, garnets.
Some time ago, on the Internet, I came across a photo of a vintage brooch in the shape of an apple core. I did a survey on my social networks. Would my subscribers wear such jewelry or not? 80% of respondents answered negatively.
Women did not appreciate such creative sophistication. Would you wear such silver stubs?
There was plenty of mass market and jewelry “for every budget.” At exhibitions, profitable deals are concluded. Wholesale, international. Nobody canceled the different price demand.
Silver, enamel, stones I don’t remember, but I think something inexpensive. Perhaps even cubic zirconia.
Bijouterie. Metal with silver plated, the rest is artificial pearls, rhinestones, Swarovski crystals.
All such decorations are similar. It is not clear who took the idea from whom, since crosses on pearls can also be seen in medieval paintings. It seems like it has always been this way. This cross reminded me of a vintage Joan Rivers piece.
And how many replicas and outright copies of famous jewelry I see at exhibitions! Countless. But that's a different story.
Gold. It’s a pity that you can’t convey the feeling of the surfaces of the rings through photos. I like unconventional treatments and relief designs. The great Coco Chanel once said: “Pearls are always right.” I believe that in our time the same can be applied to geometric jewelry in metal in a minimalist style. They can be worn “both to the feast and to the world.” Basic accessories.
Silver animals from Italian designers. The exhibition is called The Best Jewelry of Russia, but you can find wholesalers selling products from other countries.
The seller suggested that these were crocodiles, and I assumed that they were armadillos or porcupines. Who do you think it is?
All jewelry is made of gold, with diamond inserts.
I call such decorations girls' jewelry. They can be worn by girls of any age, even up to ... years, but they carry a certain enthusiasm, playfulness, and elegance. They attract attention.
Simple, high-status, but tasteful. Expensive. Very expensive. Platinum, real natural Alrosa diamonds.
Double glass insert with movable diamonds.
I also love these exhibitions because only there you can completely calmly try on jewelry for obscene amounts of money and hold, for example, a pendant with a large natural unprocessed gold bar.
Gold, demantoids.
Feminine and classic, the bow never goes out of style. Did you know that every famous jewelry house needs to come up with and create its own bow? It should be recognizable, and looking at it you should immediately be able to tell who created it, paying tribute to jewelry craftsmanship. The unspoken “struggle” of jewelers.
Gold, diamonds, pearls.
My favorite jewelry has historical and ethnic overtones. Someone will see them as fashionable tassel earrings. Luxurious long earrings from a stand from Yakutia. A new interpretation of folk motifs.
Gilded silver, natural. ornamental stones, mother of pearl.
Literally everyone considers it their duty to buy a Zodiac Sign. For yourself or as a gift. I'm not an exception. I wanted to buy it, but the costs of the last day of the exhibition - I wasn’t there. The seller told with a smile, in confidence, that this sign is bought most often. Can you guess which one?
Costume jewelry or jewelry? Created on the basis of natural materials. In the most literal sense. Jewelry resin and electroplating, silver or gold plating of real flowers, plants, dried flowers, bugs and spiders. I was assured that only insects that died of old age are used and are ordered in batches from all over the Earth. For especially impressionable people like me, this is important. A bright green beetle with a real chitinous covering. It was glued after galvanic work. The last photo of a brooch with what was once curly parsley.
Gold, pearls, diamonds.
Silver, enamel, carved coral, cultured pearls, cubic zirconia.
Nature and animal art are the predominant themes of this exhibition. Surely many jewelers have followed this path, since the theme is an eternal win-win option; there is always a buyer for this.
A few more display cases that caught my attention.
This time at the exhibition there was a very, very, very large amount of amber, products and jewelry made from it. It seemed that there was more amber than could possibly exist. Just mountains. Every fourth stand sold amber. It could be bought by weight. This was done by enterprising Chinese buyers, who, without paying attention to anyone, cheerfully chirped in Chinese and sold directly to China via Skype or Instagram. It was here that I understood why China took a strong economic position in the world in a short time.
As I wrote above, there were original products. Bugs & butterflies.
Ring with a very beautiful labradorite. Lots of golden inclusions.
Ammonite ammolite. Two rings have the same stone. And how different it looks! Did you know about the existence of such a miracle? Me not. And I'm not ashamed to admit it. Where is vintage jewelry and where are natural rare gems. But I am always happy to learn something for myself at such exhibitions. My grandmother used to say: “Live forever and learn.” I've been trying to follow this all my life.
Ammolite is a relatively rare organic gemstone mined in the eastern foothills of the Rocky Mountains in the United States and Canada. Ammolites are not a mineral; they are fossilized fragments of the mother-of-pearl layer of ammonite shells. (Wikipedia)
And finally, a photo of what especially touched my heart.
Golden dragon holding a huge opal boulder. Emeralds, rubies, diamonds. It’s a pity that we can’t convey the beauty of the shimmering stone. He's amazing!
