Contrary to popular belief, perfectly black agates do not exist in nature. This is the name given to any gems that have at least one dark inclusion in their structure. For example, the properties of black agate are often attributed to eye minerals.

Sometimes rose quartz, rhodonite or rhodochrosite are mistaken for pink agate. But the structure of agate is layered, it is not very transparent, and is not crystalline.

The price for the mineral itself is not that high. You can purchase it at most stores that sell jewelry. Pink agate without a frame in the form of a pendant or earrings will cost from 5 to 35 dollars. Raw stones can be purchased for $1-2.
